Oh my! Where have I been?? Australia would be the answer.
I'm still (t)here for a few more days, actually.
We have been doing a super-fast promo tour. Best part has been bringing the better half along for the ride. Especially when he carries my gear! :-)
So we only did two real shows but they both sold out and it was a fucking blast. Did promo stuff too. Radio.... TV... the works. Got to do a free show outside the studio of a cable tv channel. Free things can be a big disaster but this one was crazy in the best way I could use the word. I don't think any of us could hold back the smiles too long. There goes indie-cred!
Aussies are so funny. I loved hanging out with some of them after our shows and can't wait to come back for longer. Well I love hanging out with everyone everywhere! We go back to the homeland soon to hear voices that don't sound different to ours.

See! Told you I wouldn't remember to update. Zia is not dead. Not in the literal sense of the word anyway. Just crazy from tours and boys and too much blind consumption of substances in shiny wrappings. I've been doing this shit for over 9 years now. LET ME GET OFF!!
I kid. I adore my pretty musician boys.
My latest closerto30 birthday came and went a month ago and I cannot really remember much except that I was in Munich and missed my dear sweet husband until I got very very drunk courtesy of our crew.
We're supporting Bowie and you aren't.
Monkeyhouse made a stunning debut at #5 in our favorite tour destination - Australia.
MUCH more tour coming for the dandy little monkeys. But right now it's back to the padded cell for me.

I'd promise to be more frequent in writing here. But I know I'll just go and break that promise.
This tour is nuts. Not our craziest. But it is starting to take alot out of me already. I'm not sleeping at all!!
But you try getting any sleep after three hours of your own special release of insane energy. Then getting dragged off to whatever hip night spot in whatever city in whatever country you've found yourself in. As tired as I am, I'm not giving the world for doing this again.
And while I'm early morning musing. Who pays to see a band play and then complains they "played too long"?? There's the door pal, you can leave anytime...

This is my very weak attempt at a first entry so there is at least something here.
We're very very busy. I love it.
Lots of touring and the album out today!
So right, I'm Zia from The Dandy Warhols. Oh boy, I'm nothing like ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) taylor_taylor when it comes to introductions. He has this enticing way of drawing people in. That's why he's the singer and I'm the girl at the side. I'll just wave from my little laptop here and promise a decent entry tomorrow if I can slip some time in.
